Meet our New Summer Intern!
Introducing Sara Beard!
Originally from Philadelphia, Sara moved to Colorado to obtain her Chemical Engineer B.S. from CU Boulder, with a minor in economics. With a keen interest in Research and Development, she hopes to one day work as an R&D Engineer in the alcohol, fragrance, or dye industry.
This summer Sara will work directly with our engineer, David Ademe on multiple projects and experiments having to do with the chemical industry. She will design and run experiments using Avantes instruments and write up a summary of her findings. These findings will be used to better relay to our customers the ways in which our instruments can be used in their applications.
Sara Outside of work!
Sara’s other great love outside of science is dancing! As a child, she studied ballet and was part of a ballet company in high school. She currently dances on the Buff Gold Dance Team at CU Boulder. Other than dancing, she loves to work out, play the piano, enjoy the beautiful nature of Colorado, and spend time with her friends and family.
