Real-World Examples of Custom Assemblies

FCR-C-7UVIR400-2.5-BX-6X350-HTX: This high-temperature reflection probe features a 6-around-1 design with 400 µm core fibers and operates in environments up to 600°C. It is available with or without an integrated air cooling valve and supports a broad wavelength range of 200–2500 nm. Fully compatible with Avantes spectrometers and light sources, it can be configured with either SMA905 or FC/PC terminations.

FDP-2UVIR400-2-90-5-BX: This dip probe (aka transflectance) is ideal for use in dissolution testing application as it has a 90 degree bend at the tip eliminating the potential for solids (powders) to accumulate at the terminal end of the optical path during the process. The probe is fully compatible with Avantes light sources and spectrometers and can be made in any length or diameter. Terminations can be SMA905 or FCPC.

FC-VFT-19×600-2M-2MA: Built for the extremes of high-vacuum environments, this custom KF50 flange feedthrough handles vacuum levels down to 10⁻⁶ Torr while accommodating up to nineteen 600 µm core fibers. Designed for spectral ranges from 200–2500 nm, it offers a robust solution for demanding optical setups. Avantes also provides flexible vacuum assembly options—including KF, Conflat, and cost-effective bolt-style designs for single-fiber configurations. All terminations are available in SMA905 or FC/PC to ensure seamless integration.

 FC-UVIR100-DUAL-90-TIP: This custom-built probe is engineered for precise transmission measurements in vials, thin films, and rigid flat materials like plastic or glass. Featuring two opposing 90-degree angled tips, the assembly creates a fixed optical path that ensures accurate, repeatable results with minimal alignment effort. Optimized for the 200–2500 nm spectral range, this probe can be configured with SMA905 or FC/PC terminations to suit your setup.
