Congratulations to Our New Marketing Specialist – Katrina Dunbar
Avantes, Inc. is excited to announce the promotion of Katrina Dunbar as our new Marketing specialist. Katrina has 5 years of experience with Avantes and brings her knowledge and passion for science to her new position. Please join us in congratulating Katrina’s new job promotion!
Background and Biography
Katrina moved to Colorado nearly 5 years ago from California to study astronomy at CU Boulder. Having originally graduated with a BS in Business, she went on to work as a Regulatory Analyst for an insurance company in California. During her time as a Regulatory Analyst, she also was head of the Marketing Committee for the company. This allowed her to grow in two different fields. However, she has always had a deep love for science, and astronomy in specific. After being accepted into the Astronomy program at CU Boulder she moved to Colorado. There she found Avantes, a company where she could hone her marketing skills, while also working in a field that is dedicated to science. She has been able to learn about many different applications in which spectroscopy is used and how it continues to build a better world for us. In this new role, she plans to explore different ways in which we can share the word about Avantes’ solutions to the world, while also maintaining the standards that have already been established by her predecessor, Janel Kane. She is excited to dive into this new chapter of her life!.rs.
Katrina Outside of Work
In her spare time, Katrina enjoys dancing flamenco, a passion she has had for many years; even performing a handful of times. Additionally, like most Coloradans, she loves to explore the many hiking trails that the Rocky Mountains provide and go on mini adventures with her dog, Daisy. When not dancing or hiking, she dabbles in photography and hopes to one day be an amateur astrophotographer. In general, she enjoys anything that is stimulating and teaches her something new!
