Get to Know Kelly Hollins

Avantes, Inc. is excited to welcome Kelly Hollins as a new addition to our Team. Kelly joins us as our new Regional Sales Manager for the US Central Region. She comes to us with a strong background in chromatography and lab testing for companies such as Proctor and Gamble. Kelly’s infectious smile and passion for learning will make for an excellent addition to our team. Please join us in welcoming Kelly to the Avantes family!

Background and Biography

Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Kelly received her Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Photography at Hollins University (no relation to the founders) in Roanoke, VA. After graduation, she returned to Ohio and began working for Procter and Gamble as a contracted laboratory technician running various tests on hair samples and formulating Febreze products. Realizing that her talents and expertise would be best served in a sales position, she started working for Agilent via a Canadian manufacturer’s representative company selling service agreements for the Ohio territory. Then, after falling in love with Denver during a brief visit in 2017, she made the decision to drive seventeen hours to make it her home! Kelly is excited to join the Avantes family and learn everything there is to know about spectroscopy and share that knowledge with our customers.

Kelly Outside of Work

In her spare time, Kelly loves to explore the world. One way she does this is by photographing landscapes. Additionally, she recently received her Part 107 license to fly drones commercially, which makes her eager to invest in more equipment that will enable her to photograph the beautiful rocky mountains. Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing at home, spending time with friends or trying out a new sport…this year it’s curling! Kelly loves traveling and has visited over seven countries and looks forward to traveling abroad again with Iceland being her next destination!
