At Avantes, we are committed to making sure you are completely satisfied. If by chance you would like to return a stock product within 30 days of purchase,  we ask the following:

  1. Cancellation Period: 

After purchase/before delivery

Avantes makes every effort to ship orders in a timely manner within 1-2 business days of receiving your order.  Provided we receive notification prior to shipping, an order may be canceled at no cost.

After purchase/after delivery

Please contact Avantes at [email protected] for a return merchandise authorization (RMA).  All returns must have an RMA number.  Orders canceled after being shipped via courier are subject to a 10% restocking fee provided they are returned within 30 business days of purchase and all items are unused/unopened.  Avantes will not refund shipping charges.

Return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) are valid 10 days from issue. All returned products are subject to inspection. Products displaying use, misuse, or other damage will not be accepted.

  1. Shipping and Packaging Costs

Avantes uses Fedex Ground, 2nd Day, or Overnight

For small items, Avantes charges a standard $10 shipping/packaging fee shipping on ground service.  Upgrades to 2nd Day air costs $20, and upgrading to overnight delivery runs $30.  For larger items, Avantes charges a standard $20 shipping/packaging fee shipping on ground service.  Upgrades to 2nd day air cost $30 and overnight delivery runs $40.

Avantes ships only to addresses in North America

  1. Delivery charge on returning goods

For returns related to order cancellations by our customers, it is the customer’s responsibility for paying return shipping charges.  Avantes will not refund customers for outbound shipping charges.

  1. Damaged/Defective/Incorrect Goods

For damaged, defective or incorrect products, please contact [email protected]  or 1-866-678-4248 to obtain an RMA.  Avantes will assume the costs for return shipping and replacement item shipment.

  1. Product returned exceeding the cancellation period

Please contact Avantes at [email protected] or 1-866-678-4248 for a return merchandise authorization (RMA).  All returns must have an RMA number.  Orders returned after the indicated 30 day period after purchase are subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee.  Avantes will not refund shipping charges.

  1. Returns for Demo Instrument Sales

Demo Instruments are sold as-is and include a limited 90-day parts and service warranty. Demo Instruments are final and not eligible for return or exchange.
